Top Dost privacy policy
- Effective date
- 14 October 2026
- App
- Top Dost (iPhone)
- Who we are
- Ankit Uday Bhatia (the data fiduciary for this app), Mumbai, India
The short version
Top Dost has no accounts, no ads, no tracking and no third-party analytics. We never ask for your name, email, location, contacts or photos. The few things that leave your phone are listed below, and we keep them only as long as we need them.
What leaves your phone, and why
Live Activity push token
When you start following a match, your phone gives us a push token, a random code from Apple that lets our server send score updates to your Lock Screen and Dynamic Island. We send it with the ID of the match, nothing else. We keep it in memory only for that match and delete it when the match ends or you stop following it. Our logs show at most the last 6 characters.
Anonymous counts
To know how many people use the app, our server adds 1 to a daily total for each match followed. Your phone also sends three one-time yes/no flags, each only once: when it follows its first match, when it follows its third, and when it follows a match 30 or more days after its first. Each one just adds 1 to a total. The phone keeps the date of its first match to itself and never sends it. These counts aren’t linked to you, your device or your push token.
Network basics
Like any internet connection, our server briefly sees your IP address to reply to your phone. We don’t store IP addresses in our logs, and we’ve switched off or trimmed access logs at our hosting provider too.
What stays on your phone
Which side you support, your My Pin text, emoji and countdown, and your mascot choice. We never see them.
What we get from Apple
Install and usage totals come from App Store Connect, Apple’s dashboard for developers. Apple shares only totals, and only from people who chose to share data with developers in their iPhone settings.
Who else is involved
- Apple Push Notification service delivers the updates to your phone. See Apple’s privacy policy.
- Google Cloud (Oregon, USA) runs our server, so the little data it handles (push tokens during a match, daily totals) is processed in the USA.
- CricketData.org supplies the scores. We send them nothing about you.
We don’t sell, rent or share your data with advertisers or data brokers, and we don’t use it for tracking.
Your choices
Stop following a match, or turn off Live Activities in Settings, and your push token is deleted. Deleting the app removes everything stored on your phone. Since we hold nothing that identifies you, there’s no account to delete. If you’d still like to ask us anything about your data, contact our grievance officer.
Children
Top Dost isn’t made for children under 13 and doesn’t knowingly collect personal information from them.
Security
All traffic between the app and our server uses HTTPS. Our keys are kept in secure server settings, never in the app.
